Tesla's new "Phone Left Behind Detection" feature is not compatible with this retrofit charger. Chargers Not Included. All chargers must be purchased separately.

Now, meet the upgrade you deserve: a custom 3D-printed insert that integrates MagSafe V2, V3 or Anker qi2 in one piece. The watch charger is optional, but if you choose to include it, you can select either an Apple Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch charger for seamless integration. For maximum charging efficiency and reliable magnetic alignment, use an Apple or Android device with a MagSafe-compatible or magnetic case thinner than 2 mm.

  • Pre-cut Microsuede fabric (BLACK) for a cleaner finish.
  • Apple MagSafe Spacers (Exclusively available with MagSafe variants) – 0.5 mm Thickness. Designed to simplify fabric wrapping over MagSafe chargers. The spacers help protect the chargers and ensure a secure, durable bond.
  • 1 Reusable Cable Tie
  • #8x3/8 Sheet Metal Screws - 6 Screws.

I installed the MagSafe charging pad in my 2022 Model 3 Performance. The whole process (removal, build, and install) took just over two hours and was easier than I expected! Most DIY projects usually hit a snag, but this went smoothly! I went with the Apple MagSafe version and it works great! I can charge two phones (iPhone 15 and iPhone 17 Pro Max) simultaneously, and they charge at 1% per minute, which is impressive.

The finished product looks completely OEM, and folks are surprised when I tell them it’s a 3D-printed part with Apple MagSafe pucks, all covered in synthetic microsuede. All in all, one of the easiest and most useful mods I’ve ever made to a car.
